Place Agency exists to explore what can we do to engage more people in the design of our built environment, given the fundamental impact it has on every one of us.
Combining backgrounds in spatial design and documentary filmmaking, we understand the importance of impactful storytelling. Being able to emotionally engage an audience is the first step to inspiring action.
It’s not just about telling stories to people, but them being able to tell their stories back, and those stories being used as a resource to allow designers to make better decisions. The everyday, lived experiences of people are the most solid foundations on which to base design decisions that are genuinely better for people and the planet.
So we are exploring how to create digital spaces for this dialogue to take place.
